Wild West recognized early on that it would take very little time for the Internet to literally 'explode' as a medium for e-commerce. That is, we envision an environment not too far off in the future where the majority of people will access the Internet to browse for products, place orders using their credit card, and wait for their order to arrive by mail. Today's physical storefronts and shopping malls are being replaced by virtual storefronts and malls. Plus, for the store owner, it is now possible to reach millions of potential shoppers/clients for a fraction of the cost.

Not too many years ago it was unusual for a family to have a VCR, or for a small business to have a 1-800 phone number. Now, if a company does not have easy access to their products/services, the company may as well forget growth or increased profit margins. So it is today with presenting a company's image on the Internet. You see it everywhere... "www.companyname.com". Even if a company makes no sales on the Internet, they still must consider using the medium for name exposure, product information, general information, and keeping up with the competition.
